UPDATES
Throughout our two-year initiative, we accomplished some incredible things together. While we cannot share and highlight all of these things on video, below is an extensive list of things we accomplished throughout our 2 year MOVE season:
2020
- $20,000 in church planting right here in the city of Atlanta.
- We gave $10,000 to Backpack Buddies, which helped feed 389 students from Cartersville City Schools over the week of Spring Break.
- We committed another $10,000 to Red Door Food Pantry, which provided 5,000 meals to those in need across Bartow County.
- We were also able to redesign our church website and utilize new technologies to move all our ministries online since we can’t physically gather together right now.
- We opened the doors to a brand new counseling center to provide affordable and accessible counseling to people in our community.
- $33,000, to open a Compassion International site in Burkina Faso. With your help, our church sponsored over 250 of those Compassion kids!
- Helped start a new church planting network called Engage Churches.
- Our student ministry held its second Dub Weekend where we hosted over 100 students, and 8 students made the decision to follow Jesus!
- Crosspoint City reopened our doors to in-person gatherings in August, and we upgraded our video quality for future church campuses and to be able to expand our Church at Home reach.
- We are also excited to be in the early stages of launching a Crosspoint City Church campus in Rome in late 2021
- We added Clay Willis to our team as our Adairsville Campus Pastor. This freed up our Multisite Pastor to focus on launching our 3rd campus in Rome later this fall.
2021
- We leased property in Adairsville to provide office space for our staff, small groups, leader training, student ministry, and to serve as the hub for all of our community engagement efforts in Adairsville.
- We added Mike Anthony to our team as our Discipleship Pastor to oversee all of our discipleship efforts with a priority on growing our Crosspoint Groups across all campuses.
- We onboarded 3 new Interns & 1 Apprentice to our team.
- We’re seeing 50+ clients in our Counseling Center.
- We renovated a dedicated space for our Middle School Students to meet on Sunday mornings.
- We launched an Acoustic Venue at our Cartersville Campus.
- Our Kid’s Ministry hosted a Calm Parenting Workshop to teach parents more effective ways to lead their families, and we had over 120 parents from our Crosspoint family attend.
- We finalized plans and architectural drawings for phase 1 of our parking lot renovation along with our Compassion Center.
- We broke ground on the expansion of our parking lot.
- In addition, the entire parking lot project will be paid fully out of pocket!
- We have newly renovated kids space to make room for more families and their children.
- We hosted KidsCamp in-person at 2 locations (Cartersville and Adairsville).
- We launched our own Student Camp where 90 students attended, and 18 students made a decision to follow Jesus! (12 of these students were baptized!)
- We made initial investments in preparation for our Rome campus launch!
- We established a new 501c3 for the Crosspoint City Compassion Center.
- We developed architectural drawings for the Compassion Center so that we can break ground this fall.
- We launched our third Crosspoint City Location in Rome!
- Through Bless Weekend, we served over 1,500 kids in Cartersville and Allatoona and worked on 12 different home repair sites.
- We hosted Group Reset, where we equipped and encouraged current group leaders and onboarded many new leaders.
- We sponsored Curate Hope, where we brought in professionals to speak to both students and parents about anxiety and despair. Over 3,000 kids at local schools attended assemblies, and a video link was sent to over 2,500 homes.
- We hosted our first Crosspoint City Student Camp. 90 students participated, 18 students decided to follow Jesus, and 12 were baptized!
- We hired a Young Adults Minister to launch a ministry specifically for the 18–25 year-old age group.
- We were able to make technology improvements across all three campuses.
- We completely renovated a building on our Cartersville campus to utilize for middle school and high school student gatherings.
- We brought on four new interns serving in various ministries.
- We helped sponsor children in Sector 30, Burkina Faso, so that they can attend school for the year.
